SEG Solar's N-Type Module Receives ETL Certification
June 13,2024- During the SNEC 17th (2024) International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Exhibition & Conference, Intertek ("Intertek") awarded SEG Solar ("SEG") with an ETL certificate based on the latest UL61215 series and UL61730 series standards for its high-efficiency N-type photovoltaic module products. This certification demonstrates the high-performance reliability of SEG's N-type PV modules, adding substantial support for the company's efforts to further penetrate the North American market and enhance its competitiveness. SEG Founder and COO Jun Zhuge, along with Mr. Steve Li, Sales Director of the Electronic and Electrical Division of Intertek's East China Region, attended the award ceremony.
Intertek is a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide. more than 1,000 laboratories and offices and over 44,000 people in more than 100 countries, delivers innovative and bespoke Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification solutions for our customers’ operations and supply chains. Intertek's widely recognized ETL listing mark is one of the most dynamic product safety certification marks in North America, serving as a powerful tool for companies looking to thrive in this market.
SEG ALPINE N Series PV modules that received certification feature N-type cells, 210mm x 210mm silicon wafers, SMBB technology, and nondestructive cutting technology. These modules achieve a power output of up to 715W and a module efficiency of 23%, showcasing a full range of core advantages including high efficiency, high-power, high-energy yield, high reliability, high bifaciality, low temperature coefficient, low BoS, and LCOE. This pushes the photovoltaic industry towards higher value from low cost and leads the sector into the era of ultra-high power above 700W. Intertek conducted comprehensive testing and evaluation on these products, covering electrical, optical, mechanical stress, weather fastness, and safety aspects, ensuring compliance with the latest standard requirements for the North American market. This highlights SEG's leading position and competitiveness in PV technology research and development.
According to a report by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), supported by the IRA Act, the US photovoltaic industry has seen significant growth. It is expected that new installations will reach 40GW in 2024, and solar capacity will double within the next five years, reaching 438GW by 2029. This reflects the ongoing emphasis and investment in renewable energy, particularly solar, in the United States. The increase in the North American market will create new opportunities for local photovoltaic enterprises and increase demand for high-quality, high-performance solar modules. SEG's successful acquisition of ETL certification underscores the high reliability of its products and showcases the company's leadership in technological research and manufacturing processes.
Jun Zhuge, Founder and COO of SEG, stated, "Currently, SEG's module products have obtained authoritative certifications from Kiwa PVEL, DEKRA, TUV, ETL, CE, and others. These certifications are solid proof of SEG's strength in consolidating its position and expanding globally. Our products have been sold in domestic, European, North American, and Asia-Pacific regions, earning the trust of customers worldwide. In the future, SEG will continue to prioritize high quality and standards as the foundation for our business development, enhancing our capabilities in global production, sales, and operational services, and further refining our global development path."
