Countdown to Production: SEG Solar's U.S. Solar Module Plant Enters Final Installation Phase
SEG Solar ("SEG") is making its final push towards commissioning its solar module manufacturing plant in Houston, Texas. The factory's production line equipment has been successfully delivered and is now in the final stages of installation and debugging, marking that SEG's U.S. plant is nearing its official launch.
This Houston facility, covering nearly 250,000 square feet, will house production workshops, raw material warehouses, finished goods warehouses, administrative offices, and supporting infrastructure. It features two intelligent manufacturing lines to produce the latest N-type high-efficiency PV modules, with an annual production capacity exceeding 2GW.
“The Houston plant is a key part of SEG’s strategy to serve the U.S. market.” Jim Wood, CEO of SEG commented, “Thanks to the strong support from our employees and partners, the construction of SEG's Houston plant is progressing smoothly. With new workshops, production lines, and equipment, SEG will offer a refreshed experience to the U.S. market.”
With the opening of the Houston plant, customers will benefit from faster delivery times and enhanced after-sales service, while the convenient location will significantly reduce transportation costs, boosting SEG's competitiveness and maintaining its industry-leading position.
SEG has developed a comprehensive long-term supply chain plan for the U.S. market. By 2025, SEG will establish Southeast Asia's largest photovoltaic industrial park in Indonesia. Through vertical integration of the supply chain, SEG aims to secure the U.S. supply system and drive a full upgrade of the American solar industry.
