SEG Solar Launches Specialized Training Program for U.S. Solar Manufacturing Plant
SEG Solar (SEG), a leading U.S. photovoltaic manufacturer, has launched a specialized training program for production line employees at its Houston solar manufacturing plant and successfully completed the first phase.
The rapid growth of solar energy presents challenges related to the labor market. SEG’s training program offers specialized training to attract and retain talent, ensuring employees can operate the latest technology and equipment, and thereby providing a continuous supply of talent for the development of the U.S. solar industry.
The program covers the entire production process—from raw material inspection to final product shipment. It includes key aspects such as material incoming inspection, quality control, production operations, management skills, and shipping inspection, with a focus on environmental impact assessment and sustainable practices. This comprehensive program enhances employee skills, supports SEG’s Houston plant, and contributes to the sustainable development of the U.S. photovoltaic industry.
In addition to serving the U.S. market, the Houston plant will continue to offer systematic training and serve as a model for SEG’s global manufacturing sites.
Moreover, SEG plans to partner with Houston Community College to combine academic and practical training, enhancing workforce development and providing the market with highly skilled professionals. Upholding principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, SEG offers equal training and employment opportunities for all.
