SEG Solar Joins the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce
On August 8, SEG Solar (SEG), a leading U.S. photovoltaic manufacturer, held a grand opening ceremony for its new manufacturing plant in Houston, Texas, where the first module rolled off the production line. Bobby Lieb, President and CEO of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, attended the event to congratulate SEG on becoming one of Houston's pioneering local PV module manufacturers and to announce SEG’s official membership into the Chamber.
The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1974 by Judge J. Kent Adams and other community leaders, is a 501c6 nonprofit organization. The Chamber works closely with local, state, and national government officials to cultivate a thriving economic environment for businesses in the region.
During his keynote speech, Bobby Lieb remarked, "We are excited to see SEG's achievements in the U.S. and to celebrate the successful launch of the Houston PV module plant. The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce is committed to fully supporting SEG as it builds a sustainable and resilient U.S. photovoltaic supply chain, reducing the nation's reliance on imports in this vital energy sector."
The U.S. solar industry has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by government initiatives and market demand. SEG, as a domestic PV module manufacturer, plays a crucial role in strengthening the local photovoltaic supply chain through its innovative technology, high-quality products, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. SEG CEO Jim Wood noted, "Joining the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce deepens SEG's integration into the local economy and reinforces our commitment to advancing the U.S. photovoltaic industry."
SEG remains dedicated to delivering safe, efficient, and intelligent photovoltaic products. Through continuous innovation, the company strives to offer competitive industry solutions, bringing green energy to homes across the nation and fostering the sustainable growth of the photovoltaic sector.
