On September 9, the Solar Made in USA Event, hosted by TaiyangNews in collaboration with RE+ and EuPD Research, took place at the Anaheim Convention Center, California. During a panel discussion on "What’s still needed to build a true local crystalline module supply chain", SEG CEO Jim Wood highlighted SEG's new facility in Houston, Texas. The decision to establish this plant in Texas reflects the state’s strong market potential and favorable business environment. Texas leads the nation in solar installations, and by 2027, it is expected to dominate the U.S. market.

Jim Wood emphasized SEG’s commitment to strengthening the local supply chain. SEG plans to work with partners to establish manufacturing facilities to ensure product quality while reducing procurement costs. This localized strategy will give SEG a competitive edge and revitalize the solar industry in Texas and across the U.S.
