Deepening Presence in the U.S. Market to Shape the Future of Energy: SEG Solar Shines at Intersolar
The Intersolar & Energy Storage North America (Intersolar) exhibition took place from February 25th to 27th in San Diego, California. As a leading U.S.-based photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer, SEG Solar (SEG) made a remarkable appearance at Booth 3235, welcoming industry experts, partners, and customers from around the world to explore the future of the PV industry and new opportunities for innovation.
Advancing R&D: Breakthroughs in Efficiency and Quality
At this year’s exhibition, SEG showcased a range of high-efficiency PV modules designed for utility-scale power plants, commercial and industrial distributed generation, and residential markets. Committed to technological innovation and product quality, SEG’s full product lineup has received authoritative certifications from Kiwa PVEL, DEKRA, TÜV, ETL, CE, and more. In 2024, the ALPINE N Series achieved TOP Performer status across all seven test categories in Kiwa PVEL’s rigorous evaluations. The ALPINE N Series 720Wp module, featuring low voltage and high string power, was recently honored with the Top Innovation Modules USA 2025 award by EUPD Research. SEG’s high-quality, highly reliable products attracted significant attention at the exhibition.
Collaborative Innovation: Delivering Optimized Solutions
SEG partnered with U.S.-based PV racking manufacturer SunModo to introduce an integrated solar solution featuring SunModo’s Nano Rack mounting system. The Nano Rack system boasts an innovative rail-free design that enables full installation in just three hours, making the process simpler, faster, and more efficient. It is certified under UL 2703 & 3741, approved for high-wind hurricane zones, and has passed the TAS 100 (a) wind-driven rain test. When combined with SEG’s YUKON N Black Diamond all-black modules, the system significantly reduces installation weight and enhances overall efficiency. This collaboration between SEG and SunModo brings together expertise, technology, and resources to provide customers with comprehensive, high-performance solar solutions that meet the evolving demands of the market.
Industry Insights: Driving the Next Phase of Growth
SEG CEO Jim Wood was invited to participate in the official Intersolar roundtable discussion, where he shared insights on expanding manufacturing footprints for the future. Addressing the evolving U.S. trade policies on PV imports, he noted:
"The adjustments in U.S. solar import tariffs have created new opportunities for domestic manufacturing. In response, SEG has reinforced its strategic commitment to the U.S. market by investing in local production, ensuring that we deliver higher-quality products and services to meet the growing market demand."
Jim Wood further emphasized: "At our Houston factory, we utilize state-of-the-art production equipment and advanced technology to ensure top-tier product quality. Domestic manufacturing allows us to maintain strict quality control, shorten lead times, reduce logistics costs, and create jobs in the U.S., contributing to economic growth while supporting the expansion of clean energy solutions."
Throughout the event, SEG engaged in in-depth discussions with industry experts and partners on topics such as technological innovation, supply chain optimization, and market trends. The exhibition served as a platform to showcase SEG’s core strengths in high-efficiency module development, smart manufacturing, and localized services.
Looking ahead, SEG remains committed to strengthening its presence in the North American market. By collaborating with industry partners, the company aims to accelerate the transition to clean energy and contribute to a sustainable future.
